Let’s Take Matter Into Our Own Hands

I would like to conclude the ‘Women’s Day’ Week (as I call it) with two photos.

One is a United Colors of Benetton campaign on uniting against the DONT’S that women are told time and again. Some of these DONT’s might be for safety but some don’t make any sense at all. Some of it is regressive and some of goes to suggest that women bring it upon themselves which is bullshit. Unite against the DONT’s that don’t make sense to you.

And the other, a strip by Rachita Taneja, a social activist who with her rudimentary stick figures has managed to affect quite a few people. Her strips are about social justice, equality, freedom and feminism.

Hope you find them interesting.
